Postred @ The 2021 Tribeca Festival
The 2021 Tribeca Festival will commence today. Tribeca Festival is held annually in New York and primarily focuses on independent breakout directors. Its feature film lineup, among others, includes three movies Postred has worked on. All three movies will have a world premiere in New York at Tribeca Festival from June 9th to 20th.
BRIGHTON 4th – Film by Levan Koguashvili
Brighton 4th is a Georgian feature film directed and co-written by Levan Koguashvili. He makes his second appearance at Tribeca in INTERNATIONAL NARRATIVE COMPETITION after being nominated for his short film THE DEBT in 2006. The film tells the story of a Georgian wrestler drifting in Brooklyn. As a result, this makes it relevant for both New York and Georgian audiences. Postred did Foley, ADR, sound design, and re-recording mixing (by Beso Kacharava) at our facilities.

ITALIAN STUDIES – Film by Adam Leon
ITALIAN STUDIES is the third feature film written and directed by American filmmaker Adam Leon. In the section SPOTLIGHT NARRATIVE, the film stars Vanessa Kirby. The movie tells a story of a writer who loses her memory. Adrift in NYC, she connects with a group of teenagers – real and imagined conversations – and searches for a way home. Postred has provided Foley for the film.
THE NOVICE – Film by Lauren Hadaway
The Novice is a directorial debut of fellow professional sound designer Lauren Hadaway (THE HATEFUL EIGHT, WHIPLASH, etc.). Her film competes in the section U.S. NARRATIVE COMPETITION. Isabelle Fuhrman plays Alex Dall, a queer college freshman who joins her university’s rowing team and undertakes an obsessive physical and psychological journey to make it to the top varsity boat, no matter the cost. Intent on outperforming her teammates, Alex pushes herself to her limits—and beyond, alienating everyone around her in the name of success. Postred has provided Foley for the film.
Postred wishes all three films the best of luck in their respective categories.
